The Runescape Hiscore Lookup widget or RSHL for short has reached the goal of 10,000 Views.
Enter key bug
I'm aware of the enter key bug, After entering your name in the Runescape Hiscore Lookup widget be sure to press Go and not press the enter key. If you do the widget will disappear. I'm trying to fix this...
Feature Removed
The option to add a background colour has been removed from both Lookup and Compare widgets. This was because the widget was already transparent and most people could simply change the background colour. The Background Image feature still stays.
New Feature: Language Support
You can now view the hiscores in a total of 3 different languages, These include:
- English
- German (Deutsch)
- French (Français)
As Jagex release more languages for the game, I will continue to add them to the widget. The feature will also be including in the upcoming Runescape Hiscore Compare widget.
UPDATE: (5:28:13 Pm) Accidentally uploaded wrong part of the script, It should be working normally now.
New Feature: Form Locking
Now you can lock the username input field with the check of a box. This works best combined with the Default text option. For example, you might have a skill log or personal page about Runescape, but you want people only to search your name and not someone else's.
This New Feature is Optional
The feature will also be including in the upcoming Runescape Hiscore Compare widget, Hopefully the widgets release will be earlier than March.
91 Views in one day!
Its the New records for views per day, 91 views where achieved yesterday on the Tuesday 17th February.
The old top views per day was 76.
In other news I am working on a Runescape Hiscore Compare widget! I am planning on releasing it some time in March
New Feature: Default Text
You can now use a new feature called "Default Text". Its nothing amazing, but it simply lets you place default text to be used when the widget loads.
This New Feature is Optional
- For example you can write "Enter Username Here" to show people how to use the widget.
- You could also enter a Runescape character on the hiscores as an example.
- Or something else.
There also seems to be some issues with Firefox, Whilst configuring the widget you may find the widget will not be updating. Don't worry. Once its on your site/blog it appear normally.
